Painsedale to Chassell

Has there been an actual trail established between Painsdale and Chassell?

Yes, at one point there was. However, I don't think there has been an actual trail there in my now eight winters up here. Once it gets cold enough (such as it is), many people just run Portage Lake from Chassell to Houghton. Can get you more details on that if you want.

No trail from Chassell to Painesdale again this year. The townships of Chassell Portage and Adams are working to get a trail established again. You can get through by using the shoulder of the road / ditches. My son does it all the time we live in Chassell and he lives in Painesdale. Just be mindful of the property owners. Stay in the right of way of the road and not in the farm fields.
