Yesterday I traded in my Yamaha Rhino and my Arctic Cat M8 in on a 6 seater Viking so my kids could be involved in SXS trail riding, going to the beach and many other things. Yesterday we went on our maiden voyage and had a blast. It was hot out and we all swam in the big lake which is fairly warm in Ontonagon. Many people out there doing the same. kip never ceases to amaze me in how well he treats people and makes buying a pleasure. I now have a 2015 6 seat SXS with a 5 year warranty which blows my mind, $450 for 3 extra years, I honestly don't know how they can do that. The. Viking is not a performance machine but now after 35 miles I know it was the right machine for us. The room inside is amazing and now these machines run 54 mph. It funny how a machine can make a family so happy, not that we weren't but now we can do things we couldn't do. For Kip to take two units in on trade was the most important part other wise we couldn't have done it. Thanks again Kip for all you do not just at Pats but in our community, your a true giver brother!

Looking good Lenny! It's always nice when your friend is the guy you buy stuff from too. Hope your family enjoys the time together, and you're right about Kip, great guy that probably gets as much fun out of seeing his customers happy as they do driving away in whatever machine they just bought.

Looks and sounds like you made a very wise trade...You'll be able to enjoy that all winter while old lady El Nino swoops through.

Bought a new sled from kip last year. Got another new sled on order from him. 6 hrs travel time between us but the buying experience was second to none. Family business. Family man. I appreciate that. Glad I can spend my dollars to support the u.p. nice ride you got there lenny. Let it snow!!!!

So let's see here. I have a bike that is now too small for Grace. 7 golf balls with "smiles" on them and a croquet set with 2 of the balls and one mallet missing.

What do think I could trade you for that Kip? I guess if I have to, I can sweeten the pot with a cooler with a small leak in it. :)

This spring we were up in White Pine riding atv and our RZR broke a drive shaft. I wasn't going to ruin a trip with a broken rig, so my wife and I headed to Pat's and traded our broken RZR and bought a Viking. Great, easy transaction. Kip gave me what I wanted for the RZR(it was loaded) and he even went to another dealer and had it back by 9:30 am the next morning set up with roof on(we were there late in the afternoon on a Friday). The Viking is a great machine.

Now my son is looking for a sled and we saw that Kip has what he wants. I called Kip up, got a price and we will soon be driving up there to pick it up. I think we found our new dealer. Worth the 5 1/2 hour drive.

John, LOL:) That's funny. I don't have the words for you all with the great compliments, all I can say is thank you and thank you even more for allowing us to be a part of not only your great experiences but more importantly your families. We appreciate everything you all do to help make our business successful, we could not do it without all of you. John, thank you for this site. It has not only helped us from a business standpoint but more importantly it has made us some great life long friends as this thread is proof of that.

So far I have already put 118 miles on the machine and got gas with one bar left. I didn't read the book yet so not sure the size of the tank but I put 4.02 gallons in and went 112 miles on that 4 gallons. The Viking cruises nice at 42-45 but typically on a road I just hum along at 35 which was close to the top speed of my old Rhino of 37. The Viking is much quieter but the best part is the power steering. At real slow speeds the EPS is awesome and when plowing this winter I am sure it will be greatly appreciated. I did test drive the ranger of equal size and I will say it's a quality machine and a noticeable difference in engine noise but concerning room, (which was an important factor with my family) the Viking has more as d the shifting mechanism is simpler. This Viking is a very simple design and very stout much like the older Rhinos. For me the machine needed to serve two purposes, work and family fun. I wasn't looking for a performance oriented machine but needed a tough suspension, long wheel base and comfort and I couldn't be happier so far. I still am in awe of a 5 yr warranty. Pics coming soon but just been swamped work wise and phone battery was dead first ride. Oh yea, this Viking has 8 cup holders and two power points, very cool so I can drink 2 beers at a time,,,,,,not!

So what sled are you going to pick up in the Fall?
unless I will the lottery, I will not be riding this winter which is just fine with me but you bring up a great point. Normally I would ride all I want and come summer the kids sit around because my addictions deprive them. It was time they come first and not selfish me again and again and again.

Lenny,
I've had the same thing goes on in my head. Sell the atv and sleds and buy a side by side. My two girls would love it. It's true what everyone said, "time flys by!" I can't believe I have a soon to be 9 and 6 year old kids. I want to have one before the oldest is a teenager. Trying to figure out how to do it without selling the sleds. Selling the atv is fine with me. Just need to list it and come up with the other cash...
