I own a 2007 FST. I have had only one problem and that was caused by the dealer. They have several service bulletons on them. So make sure all of those have been done to the one you are buying. You should see stickers on the air box stating that each one has been done. I believe mine has around 7 of them. As far as tourqe....you will absolutely love it and starting up in cold weather is just like starting up a car. Turn it over an she fires right up...no problem. I will be honest with you that this is a heavy sled so if you primarily ride trails you will be OK. I do boondock with mine but it likes to nosedive into the snow so you have to stay on the throttle for sure. But all in all I really like my FST...you can't go wrong.

I own a 08 Dragon FST and I have over 4000 miles on mine and I like mine alot. The 08 and newer ones don't have the updates like the 06 and 07s.Alot of the updates were about wiring and hose chaffing and routing.I have a few things done to my sled like computer reprogram and a bigger inter-cooler for more hp.I don't have any problems off trail and I really like how quiet the sled is.If you decide to buy one take some time to make sure some hoses and wiring are protected and secure.

I have a 2006 FST Classic with 10,700 miles on it. I had the first year issues, but since then the sled has been very reliable. The power is awesome! They do get very hot under the hood and I was blowing a belt every 1,000 miles. I put the SLP air vents in the belly pan and have had no issues since. Be sure to always let the sled warm up good before giving it any throttle. The only way you will foul a plug is by not letting them warm up. You also should not start up and shut down right away like we have with 2 strokes.

Cold starts were never a problem until last year as my original battery started to go bad. I replaced it this fall.

Read just released Jan issue of American Snowmobiler (maybe on their website too) they weigh in on FST & other 4s sleds. Interesting read & not what I exspected.
