I watched the local news in Green Bay, WI today and Watersmeet, MI was 5 degrees warmer than in G.B.; wth? Must the amount of sun.

Trails were mint up there last weekend. I think by Sunday they maybe toast in this neck of woods.

I'm up in Boulder right now and the trails are flat but really thin. We are riding tomorrow but that will be the last of it until new snow. We have done 2,1,13 in UP and most of Vilas Co. Doable but not pretty. Towns and road crossings are like nails on a chalk board. If they get the rain on Fri Sat,it's done until new snow. And not just a inch or two.

Ride Friday?

My 12 year old son has off from school tomorrow (Friday) and I am looking for a place to do a short ride of 60 miles or so. Is there enough snow in Crivitz or Pembine? Are the trails good enough to ride - don't need perfect - expect some stone, bare areas. Just don't want the 1/2 mile of no snow on the road type of situation.

anyone riding these trails when the temps are as high as they are are doing nothing but a disservice to the snowmobiling community.

I agree. Stay off and try to save them for when the rest of us can get up there.

For the record, did not make the trip. I have been out of the country and a bit disconnected on currently conditions. Would have been nice to go, but seems the weather and my time able to get away just don't seem to line up.
