Are you talking about taking your own boat along the Pictured Rocks shoreline, or renting a boat in Munising and heading out on your own?
I have taken my 18' Lund over there several times. Its a beatiful place, and a really great trip. There is a launch in Munising Bay, just west of the highschool.
However....
You definitely need to keep a very close eye on the weather. There is absolutely NO PLACE to land your boat for several miles when running along the cliffs. The wind on Superior can kick up in minutes. The waves can be quite large, even on a relatively windless day.
Make sure you have the required equipment for running on the great lakes....gotta have flares or some sort of signaling equipment. I also have a hand held marine radio. Cell service can be spotty.
