Pike and Walleye fishing

Hello Everyone I'm heading to central UP by Munising in a couple weeks and was hoping to do some Pike and Walleye fishing. I have never done either so am looking for some tips for when my boy and I go out. He is 4 and absolutely loves to fish. He has been taking Bass and Bluegill off the hook for about a year now and asks daily to go fishing. Let me know what types of bait and lures you prefer to use and is it better to troll or cast by the shoreline. Any help is appreciated.
