Place to stay on the trail in Florence County WI

Can anyone recommend a neat and clean place to stay on the trail in Florence County WI? Any info on lodging would be greatly appreciated.

The Grand Motel in Pembine Wi or my favorite best kept secret that I can't believe I'm giving up, is Chicaugon Lake Inn , Gaastra Mi.

Neat and Clean to one person can be completely different to another so beware of the recommendations. I tend to be very picky. With that said, I have not seen the actual rooms at the AmericInn in Iron River. That is 45 mins by sled up trail 2. If you don't want to travel that far then you have one little hotel right in Florence behind the BP Station. I cannot speak to how clean it is. There is also a bed and breakfast in Florence as well. Here is a link; http://www.maxsellsrestaurant.com/index.htm

I have eaten there but not stayed there.

Lastly, there is a newish Holiday inn in Iron Mountain which is only 10-12 miles east of Florence. you have close access to trails from this hotel.

Hope this helps.

Richards of Dunbar, old school motel but restaurant on property and gas down the block. Groomed trail access right into the parking lot.

LOL so far everyone is listing places in the UP or Marinette Co.

Maybe he doesn't want to buy a MI trail permit.
Never thought about Florence COUNTY lodging even though we ride it every year from our place in Forest Co.....LOL can't really think of any....used to be a place in Long Lake.

Maybe this is it.....looks like they have 2 nice rooms so it isn't the old motel I was thinking of....

Long Lake would be a great place to have a motel. Trail goes right through and there is a cafe and at least 3 bars.....
too bad the Casino in Carter and Best Western in Crandon have probably ended most smaller operations.

Try VRBO.

Not in Florence cty, but Pine Mountain in Iron Mountain is a great place to stay. I've stayed there a few times while sledding. Good bar/restaurant and usually pretty active with the ski hill.

If you could figure out how to get your sled up the steps, you could probably take it off the ski jump too.
