"A man and his 9-year-old son were injured in a snowmobile crash at Blue Bear Trail No. 79, west of Blue Lake Road.
Kalkaska Sheriff's deputies were called at about 2:20 p.m. Friday.
The father, 38, was driving the snowmobile east on the trail and struck a trail groomer which was traveling westbound.
The plow on the groomer caught on fire.
The man and the child were airlifted to Munson Hospital for treatment. The driver of the groomer was not injured.
Sheriff deputies are still investigating the accident."
