So i want to put a tracks usa 136 extension kit on my 2008 iq shift 600.Wondering if a 1.5 inch track will clear the inside of the tunnel with out rubbing? Also does anyone have any experiance with a camoplast intense track? And last question should i regear afterwards? dont want to loose any low end punch, dont really care if i loose a few miles an hour on top end.

Will it clear, YES.

Do you need to regear, NO. But you will run the risk of blowing belts if you ride in deep heavy snow a lot.

you could go up to a 2" paddle. I did that (121 to 144) on my 2006 Fusion. 2" is about it though. and if you want to know for sure, go look at the parts on the Poo website for both the 121 and 136 and see if they use a different gear. Probably not since the change from 121 to 144 was only one tooth on the top, i doubt going to 136 will be different.

I'd go and see what the 144" and 136" switchback uses. Let me know though, as I might be doing the same thing next summer.

When I've looked into this in the past, I was told to go all the way to 144" with Tracks USA, as they have the tipped up rail and you get more of the advantages of the long track without some of the issues.

If I do this, I haven't decided what track I'll use. But it will be a summer project. My sled's track has seen better days, so I will likely replace it in the summer either way. Just don't know yet if I'm going to stretch it.

We have used the tracks usa kit to stretch four sleds works great used 136 and 144 kits the last one was on my 07 iq 700 used 1.5 track and thought it was just right. I never had regeared but would probably if i did it again the switchback with the 136 does run a different ratio than the 121 dont remember what the difference was but it was slightly different.

you wont blow belts as long as your clutching is set up for the extra roatating weight (the bigger track).make sure u got good clutch ventalation heat is what kills belts. if the clutchs are setup right u wont get heat. I would drop a tooth or maybe two on the top gear u wont notice much loss on topend but you will have a lit bit more on bottom.
