Polaris 1994 Indy 500 EFI fuel pump issues I think only 1500 miles

I have a Beautiful Indy 500 EFI and it did sit for 10 years with rotten jelled fuel in the tank. I removed tank installed new filters and lines and the machine runs great for about 1-2 miles but after that if you open it up it dies. It will start if you allow it to sit for a minute or two it starts and runs again. I have looked for a new fuel pump part # 3084082 and found one but the price is $311.00, I paid $250 for the sled. My question is can you use a summit racing brand if it produces 40 psi?? Thank you for reading this, and I appreciate you help!!

I have one from a 95 rxl (pump) you can have. You pay shipping or meet somewhere in twin cities. It came from my own sled, but switched to carbs on that sled beffore i sold it. PM me or whatever. I should be able to put hands on it tomorrow.

I also remember this era of efi required your batterey to at 12.4 or better. They would do some goofy stuff with a bad batt.

Way to go RMK! So nice to hear that there are people that will still go out of their way to help someone they've never met. Kinda restores a little faith.
