Polaris CFI Fuel Filter

I have a 2007 Polaris Switchback and wondering how often I should change the fuel filter. There $50 and don't want to change it if it's not necessary.

First time 1000 miles after that every 2000 miles

I would change it. Cheap insurance for that motor. Mine was partialy blocked at 3500 miles and was part of the cause of my burndown last year. You never know whats in your gas nowadays and the filters are such a fine micron for the injectors, they plug very easy.

What is the easiest way to change the filter? Can you pull it up through the filler neck to replace? Thanks

sxrron the Polaris CFI have a fuel filter located on the LH side between the secondary clutch and the air box. They have automotive style fuel filter coupling to remove and replace them.
