Polaris Gripper Skis on an 06' Switchback

I received the Polaris gripper skis as a gift for my 06' Switchback. Has anybody done this? Is there any special kit to buy? Matching them up the spindles they look to match up perfectly. The rubber piece underneath is what looks totally different. Any help on this would be appreciated!

I talked to the local Polaris dealer and I was told I have 2 options. Cut the existing rubber to fit or update the spindles to the newer ones, which is recommended because the 05' - 06' design wasn't very good. I'll benefit 2-fold. Better trail handling and the spindles are made to fit the ski along with the rubber stop. So, I'll probably go with option 2.

I think the dealer is trying to sell ya extra parts.

I didn't get that impression. He told me I could just cut the rubber to fit. He suggested the newer spindles because they improve trail handling on the switchback. I've heard this before elsewhere.

Wait did you get the ski and not the ski kit? The kit comes with rubbers and bolts. If you only got the bare bones ski then you will have to get the correct rubber for the gripper ski.

you need to order the correct rubber ski stop for the Gripper - Just had the same issue on my 2013 Switchback assault.

I believe the correct part number is: 5412794. THe gripper is the stock ski on all RMK's 2011-2013 so you can look that # up on the schematics
