Polaris hyfax

Working on a sled for a friend. Seems like Polaris hyfax cost twice what Yamahas do. Anybody have a source for genuine Polaris hyfax at a good price?

Shadetree Powersports has SnoStuff profile 26 sliders for $13.99 each. Graphite for $23.99 each. MFG Supply has Kimpex for $13.99 each. I used to pay $11 each from Cycle Parts Nation for yamaha slides, not oem.

Non of the above prices include shipping!

I have been gathering prices so when I go to the show in Novi, Mi tomorrow I am prepared.

Do you have to have OEM ? Alot of good after market slides out there. Cheaper too.
On my Yamaha stuff, I've found that aftermarket slides are about ten times as hard to install and remove than oem. I've gone exclusively to oem. On the Polaris, I'm willing to try the aftermarket, I guess.

I've had 15 or so new Polaris' over the years and I've hardly ever had to change my hyfax, they seem to last forever! I had 7,000 miles on my FST and had to replace the track and the hyfax weren't even close to needing replacing yet, but I did as long as I had the track off. Yamaha on the other hand, I've heard cases where they have to be changed every 750 miles or each season. Now that's nuts!

Aftermarket may be cheaper, but will they last as long? In most cases, you get what you pay for.

If it's for a friend, and he doesn't ride alot, put the cheaper ones on it. If he rides alot, go with OEM. They will last ALOT longer and you won't be changing his slides every year.

Polaris may be more expensive but I had 2650 miles on my 2011 RMK Assault and had lots of miles left on them riding here in da up eh, 2.5 camoplast extreme tried other hyfax on my previous sleds but didn't last at all.

I ended up buying Polaris slides from babbitsonline. About 20 bucks each. If he gets some good mileage out of them I'm all for it. Also, I really like how this sled (2002 xcsp 700) is put together. Seems much easier to work on then the Yamahas I'm used to.

I've always had better luck with OEM slides. Belts too. I don't think I've "needed" to change an OEM belt in 15 years.
