polaris oil bottle leaking

I have a 2003 Polaris 600 touring and the grommet in the oil tank is leaking again. Is there a better fix for this ? Can you move the bottle without taking off coolant line? Its all one piece, replaced grommet 3 years ago and leaking again. Bought Permatex right stuff to put on the bottle, has anyone used this ? Need some help with this. Thanks

Sounds to me like you need the steel ring thatfits on the oil fill cap. The oil bottle neck gets outta round and the cap doesn't seal properly.

It's the grommet in the bottom of tank for the line to pump.
