polaris pro steer skis

I'm looking for input on how well the woodys slim jim carbides work with the polaris prosteer skiis. Will be used on a 13 switchback adventure. I'm tired of darting but still want bars that hold in the turns. I don't ride super aggressive. Thanks for any input.

I've been putting on the Stud Boy Deuce bar. Absolutely no darting and they handle excellent as they have the concave edge for turning.

Well its not really two bars on the stud boy, what it is its a flattend piece of metal with the concave edges with two lines of carbide. They do really seem to hold very well and I think 6in would be fine in your application.

I had a set on my 09 Dragon with 144 studs and found that they packed full of ice in the middle and steered poorly I myself would not recommend them. They seem to push really bad on snow that was set up perfect for shape carbides (really packed but not icey) I think some of the pushing I had may have been related to the setup at the time which I corrected with a limiter strap adjustment for the slim jims. I purchased a set of Bergstoms and found I had to put the limiter strap back to stock position and I have been very happy I would also recommend the Studboy Shaper bars they worked well also
Just my two cents

I put dual 6" carbides on my 12 Pro R 800 Switchback. They were Woody's but not sure if Slim Jim or Dooley model (which are similar). They worked awesome. Suspension and shocks all on factory settings and the sled cornered like it was on rails. I put 3400 miles on them and they held up very well.

He's not talking about the woodys slim jims, yes I've run them also and yes they push a little in the corners, but I was studded up heavy in the track. The Stub boy deuce bar is different than the woodys. Go find pics of each. The stud boy is a flat bar with concave sides and the carbide is mounted to the flat bar unlike woodys they weld the round host bar to the flat metal. Two different ideas. I'm sold on the Stud boy deuce bars. My 2cents.

Sorry my bad. He was asking about the woodys slim jims. They work ok but I found the Stud boy to handle better
