Polaris Problems

My brother has a 98 or 99 poloris 700 classic. When he gets up to about 40-50mph it fouls out, kind of like it gets to much gas or not enough. The carbs have been cleaned and all the fuel lines have been replaced along with the air lines. Has anyone ever have this problem and have any suggestions to fix the problem. Thanks

does the engine stall, or just bog? If it just bogs you might have a broken motor mount that will allow the clutches to lose the center-center dimension, which will allow the belt to shift out way too early and it wont backshift.
Try wiggling the motor back and forth by grabbing the primary clutch. It is easier to do this without the belt installed but not necessary. Another thing is to check the bearing behind the secondary clutch............jackshaft bearing........it can do the same thing but not as severe
