I have an opportunity to purchase an older BRAND new Polaris Turbo and am curious to know from any current owners the pro's and con's of this machine?

I appreciate the info--

I know 3 people that have them. I believe they're all 2006's. I don't think there's any difference between years...or very little like most IQs.

Everyone that has one LOVES it! A couple guys bought the Stage 2 kit (something with mapping) and it increased the stock ponies from 150 to 180 or 190. It was around $250. That's a whole lot of ponies (quote from Artic Cat commercial) for the price.

I have a 2006 FST Classic with 12,000 miles on it. This was the first year for the FST so there were a few minor issues that needed to be dealt with. After 2006 the sleds really seemed to be reliable, and mine has been for the most part too. The 2006 and 2007's have heavy steering, but Polaris corrected that with new spindles, which you can get aftermarket for the '06's and '07's. I think you would like the sled!

I have a 2010 Turbo LX and it has been great. I have about 4200 miles on it and only had a sensor go out on it after the first 10 miles. Since then it has been trouble free. All I've done is gas and go and taken care of the routine maintenance. If you buy an older on, make sure it has all of the factory updates and re-flashes. Some of the older ones 06-07 had some ssues with wiring and hoses rubbing but Polaris has updates for all of that.

just bought a 2011 fst iq 121 only have 500 miles on it but absoutely love it! I do know that the newer the model the better. all fsts are m 10 untill 09 then they went to the iq susp. I was told by a poo dealer that has all models that an 09 and up are the best to buy. most of the bugs were worked out by then. ans all were suppose to be worked out after 2010.

My wife has a 2007 FST and we have only had two minor issues and both were covered under warranty. The first issue which did not stop us from riding was the float in the gas tank went back so the digital gas gauge would not work The second was a speed sensor which did prevent the sled from moving at all, nothing a day at our dealer couldnt fix. Other than that the sled has been rock solid. The best MPG we managed was 17 and the top speed 103MPH. I believe we are somewhere in the neighborhood of 5,800 miles on it now and do not plan on getting rid of it any time soon. My wife will not trade in yet because it is the orange color that has since been discontinued. I know there are those that do not like Polaris 4 strokes but this sled is honestly alot of fun to ride. All four strokes are heavy but they did a good job getting 140 hp out of a 750 with the turbo.
