Well me and my brother are heading up to stay at the Americinn Silver City, just wondering if I could get any pointers for good off trails zones. I know its a long shot and most people don't want to give that out but thought I'd try. Heard not to try it in the Porkies? Thanks Fellas, Ride safe!

$150 dollar fine for back country in Porkies, I groom this everyday and see a lot of tracks going around no snowmobile signs so they can go play in there not so secret area (dumbasses).
There are many other areas to play around, just have to figure it out.

We're headed up there as well later this week, have never stayed there - assuming there are some trails right out of there that will shoot us up north towards Houghton area? - any recommendations? - looks like this area is getting pounded with snow right now! I suspect trails will be in absolute mint condition by mid week when the LES belts seem to settle down a little bit, and with the warmer weather for next weekend riding conditions will probably be in prime condition...

From Silver City, take trail 1 south to just south of White Pine and take 12 towards Ontonogan. 6 miles down that trail, you will run into trail 101 and take that south 4 miles to trail 13 and take that north towards Rockland and then trail 3 north to Mass City and on to Houghton.

One day you will have to head up to Lake of the Clouds if you haven't been up there yet. Also take trail 11 the other way out of Silver City, which is a 2 lane asphalt road in the summer, and then take 102 down to Bergland.
