I would consider it thin. I picked my father-in law up yesterday around Bancroft area. We trailed up to Mosinee and road north/west. Lot more snow there than central Portage. I would recommend to trailer little more north. However, I did not ride the Portage trails directly though.
Only one zone was open in Portage as of yesterday. Couple more opened today I saw.
