Does anyone have any trail reports or a good website for the area W of Duluth? A friend of mine in Proctor said they have 18”. I’ve never snowmobiled in MN since my cabin is in Wisconsin, we usually chase snow in Michigan. Also, does MN require an out of state trail pass?
Thanks for the information. Looking to ride 1st-3rd.

Yes, out of state permit is required. No, I haven't found much online. Grooming isn't spot on or quick like Vilas/Iron/Oneida.
Remember, you can't just ride south into WI or north from WI (as you can from the UP to WI), there is a lake in the way. The east-west trails are north of Duluth so Proctor or Cloquet to the north shore is a big arc. Basically, both Duluth and Proctor are the end of spokes. Travel further into the state, towards the Iron Range (Hwy 53N) or Grand Rapids (Hwy 2 W). Fortune Bay Casino on Lake Vermilion is nice but I have never stayed overnight.
