Project Finally Done!

Some of you may remember I've made a few posts, and asked a few questions about tracks, extensions, springs and shocks because I was re-building my 2000 ZL 500 efi as my son was taking it over. Well we just finished putting everything together and took it for a quick test ride before we head out for the day tomorrow. We extended the rails to 136, put a new ripsaw track on, replaced all the idler wheels, rear shocks, upgraded to heavier springs, powder coated the rear suspension bars green, added the tunnel extension and repainted the tunnel. Also added the powermadd seat riser and a 3" handlebar riser.

Came out pretty good, really hooks up well on the quick loop around the shop. He's 6-2, 175 and had been riding a Jag 340 so this should be a nice upgrade for him! Already got my tickets for the ride-in so maybe we can meet up with a few of you and head off on some fire roads and see how it holds up in the powder :)

Motor still is good with about 125 psi in both cylinders so this year we only worked on the skid, next summer maybe we'll tackle the engine as it's already got about 6,000 miles on it but for now it runs great!

Nice! Lucky kid, but for sure he deserves part of the credit.

If I call you "Dad" will you help me with my next build?
