Question about Snow Totals

I was wondering if its broke down into LES vs. Winter Storm snow. I was wondering if the UP gets more winter storm snow than most places or does it average out to be the same everywhere else in the midwest.

I do not know of anyone that tries to separate snow totals in that which fell as LES and that which fell as system snow. It would be pretty difficult to get an exact number as there are many times when both is happening- we call that lake enhancement.

I will say that the UP sees as much or more system snow than anywhere else in the Midwest. We are still far enough south to be able to partake in a low that is working with Gulf Moisture, but because we are far enough north, we will tend to see more snow events vs. rain compared to areas to our south.
