Questions on 2001 Skidoo MX-Z 440

My first question is that I see there are three versions:
1. MX-Z 440
2. MX-Z 440F
3. MX-Z 440LC

I understand the F and LC are Fan and Liquid cooled but what is the difference between the 440 and the 440F?

I am looking for tunnel wear bars. I have a the 440 fan cooled version of this sled. When I look up parts for the 440F i get wear bars that have the T groove to fit into the tunnel. When I look up the 440 version I get universal bars that are just rectangular. My sled does not have the T-Groove (just holed to put the rivets through) in it so I assume that I need the universal? The shop that I go do told me not to use the universal but to get the bars specific to this chassis. Needless to say I am a little confused.

No need to be confused. On a liquid cooled sled you would want to protect the coolers and heat exchanger, on the fan cooled sleds you would only need to protect the tunnel so when the suspension compresses the studs wont touch the tunnel. All you should need to do is pop rivet some 1" square aluminum tube to the tunnel.

Thanks raceinsnow. That makes it much easier as aluminum tube is much easier to get my hands on.
