He went thru some major health issues in his life, but you never heard him say a word about it and would never know seeing him sitting in the broadcast booth. RIP Ron

I was sorry to read that Ron died. Although I'm a Sox fan, I always liked him. It's a shame he didn't get into the hall of fame before he died.

Rest in peace Ron. You will be missed. My summers will never be the same.

Maybe now the Hall voters will come to their senses......

Santo was a genuinely good guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him at a Corporate event at Wrigley Field. He was a real class act.
This is coming from a die hard Sox fan.
He will be missed for sure.

RIP Ron Santo the world was a better place with you. Ron was a good ballplayer but Hall of Fame no.....struck out way too many times in the clutch when his RBIs were needed the most. Ron was no Ernie Banks by a long shot.

Agree completely. Maybe the broadcasting hall of fame.

Ron's base running skills were so BAD it was funny. Ron would would be out by 15 feet or more don't know what the heck he was thinking. Ron was even picked off second in an oldtimers game.lol :)

hate the cubs ,but I just loved that man. made a blow out , fun to listen to. hope they plant him with his #1. (hair piece)
