Two hearted river campground and the Pike Lake Store along with other structures that haven't been identified have burned also. 17,000 acres and growing!

Heard on the blog pages it spread south to CR 500 and M123. Also that it was approaching Crisp Point. Don't know how accurate the info is. Getting pretty concerned for my cabin. Any info would be appreciated.

From what I am hearing locally (not to be confused with actual good info), the fire is about 3/4 mile NW of M-123 at its southern-most point and that it did cross CR 500 in one spot around Culhane Lake. We are now around 20,000 acres +/-. The fire originated at Duck Lake and blew straight north to Lake Superior on Thursday/Friday with 30 mph south winds.

Can't remember if I can post a link or not, so Admin remove if I'm out of line, but here is the most recent info on the fire and a timetable of events leading up to where we are at currently. In this link, there is another link to a MDNR press release from Friday at 8:40 a.m. If you click on that, and scroll to the bottom of the page, there is a .pdf showing the fire area from that day.

Very sad Rainbow Lodge is gone, it was my first winter UP stay riding snowmobiles back in the mid 90's. I hope they rebuild.
