Here's a story from Michael Silver at Yahoo Sports....

As is the Viking’s custom on Fridays, a local food establishment was invited to the training facility to serve a catered, post-practice meal in the locker room. In this case, a St. Paul restaurant that is a favorite of former Vikings center Matt Birk. As the proprietors helped serve chicken, ribs, pasta and other dishes to Vikings players, Moss paced up and down the serving line and loudly expressed his displeasure with the offerings.

According to one player who witnessed the scene, Moss yelled, “What the [expletive]? Who ordered this crap? I wouldn’t feed this to my dog!”

Said the witness: “It was brutal. The truth is, he deserved to be cut after that. It was such an uncomfortable moment. You know that feeling where you just can tell someone feels so small? That’s what it was like being there.

“This wasn’t a chain – it was a mom-and-pop restaurant, and you could tell it was their best stuff. They had a special carving station set up, and there were players and other support staff lining up to eat it. And [Moss] is at his locker saying, ‘You know, I used to have to eat that crap – but now I’ve got money.’ You just felt so sad for them. I had never seen anyone treated like that.

"but now I've got money". I agree with an earlier post on another thread, in two years this guy will be broke and living on the street. What a tool!

I used to live one mile from this place, and they ALWAYS had great food. My kids loved going there with me, we’d ride our bikes down there all summer. I’ve actually met this guy……

Gus Tinucci of Tinucci's restaurant in Woodbury and Newport was the caterer that Randy Moss blew up at last Friday after practice.
The Vikings cater lunch for the team in the locker room every Friday. Tinucci said his family's restaurant has done this a handful of times the past several years in part because they became friends with former center Matt Birk.
Gus explained what happened last Friday.
"[Moss] came walking up," Tinucci said. "There were a couple of guys that were in line. I knew Brett [Favre] put his helmet down. I met him carving. I was carving some meat for a guy and all of a sudden I heard all this screaming and I was like, 'Are you kidding me?' I knew who it was immediately. I looked up and there he was. [Moss said], 'I wouldn't feed this [expletive] to my [expletive] dog.' I was in shock. I couldn't believe it. It was quiet in there."
Tinucci said one player told Moss to shut up. He also said two Vikings employees approached him and apologized.
"We just went about our business," he said. "I had more compliments. The guys that were there and heard it and saw it, I think they were very appreciative of us being there. I wasn't going to say anything because we appreciate being there. We want to come back there. What am I going to do, call him out? Go, 'Hey, if you don't like it, get the **** out or whatever?' I'm in their house."
Tinucci said his buffet included ribs, chicken, a round of beef carving station, pasta, vegetables and dessert.
"It looked good, like we always do," he said. "I don't know if he was starving for attention or what. But nobody laughed I can guarantee you that."
"He just slammed us," Tinucci added. "It wasn't us personally because he doesn't know us from Adam."

Too bad Chilly didn't go off too. Then the Vikes could maybe get a real coach.

I heard on the radio that you can turn in your #84 jersey at their resturant one day this week and get a free buffet lunch!!!!!! What a jerk and I was very happy to have him back but his performance was not even professional.

We pay these players way too much money and we pay too much for tickets.

The Newport one is the original, and the one I was referring to. The Woodbury one is definately the "suburban" restaurant.
