Rapid River, MI conditions

Can someone give me an idea on the trail conditions around Rapid River? I'm guessing they aren't good now but snow coming this weekend. I'm heading up there end of next week. Will the three inches forecasted make a big difference? Thanks.

Was up in Shingleton 1/17 to 1/20. Drove home 1/20 through Trenary-Rapid River-Escanaba-Menominee. Pretty much no snow south of Trenary. But a lot could change in a week. We found good riding from Shingleton-Grand Marais-Pinestump-Seney-Shingleton.

That is depressing this late in the season. What is going on with this winter? We will be rescheduling and waiting for snow.

Hey Dan, hope all is well with your family and your mom and dad. Please tell your dad I say "hi" too! Hey, just go on your trip and have fun. I just got back from Hurley and found perfectly rideable snow. Town stunk but they typically do on good snow years. Stay off the main arteries as much as possible and find outlying trails and rip it! Low snow can be a good thing as if there are some moguls they're not as deep! :)

Good luck!

Hi Kevin. I’ll let them know you said hi. I wish we could go but there’s not enough snow to ride there. There’s there actually more snow here in Illinois which is really sad. Going to try and ride here next week instead with more snow coming. Then shoot for the UP next month I guess.
