I need help to identify some vintage fishing gear. I think it is a smelt dipping net but would like verification. The handle is wooded and 8 to 10 feet long and is a little thicker than a broomstick. On the end is a net made out of metal and is cone shaped and you could easily net a basketball in the water. So the net opening is as large as a basketball and is a rigid cone shape the net is about two feet from tip of cone to the rim. If it helps the guy also has an array of cork floats that I assume were attached to nets at one time.
Thanks,

Anyone interested send me a p.m. before she hits e-bay.
Also if you see something I have on e-bay send me a p.m. and I will try to sweeten the deal for John Dee members!
