I am rebuilding a 96 xlt sp 600, and need to know all of the bolt torque specs. Didnt know if anyone knew of a good website for this. I had a crank bearing go out and tore it down to the last bolt and now putting back together. Any tricks or ideas or websites would be appreciated. thanks.

thanks, unfortunately i live in central illinois and not to many snowmobile dealers around and the 2 i have talked to are jerks and dont want to give any info. i went there one time for a simple choke cable and the guy acted like you had to be a certified polaris mech. before attempting to do such a hard task. he was lucky i was in a pinch cause i would have gone somewhere else to buy it. never went back though.

thanks, does it say anything about flywheel or clutch? i imagine as hard as they were to come off i dont really have to worry to much about them. just dont want to overtighten. thanks again.

My Polaris Master Manual says flywheel is 60-65 ft lbs and clutch bolt is 40-45 ft lbs on the clutch bolt. I would put some loctite 242 it is the removable blue stuff. Hope this helps
