recharging shocks

Rode my 2013 pro r switchback about 2200 miles last year I usually like to take shocks off and take in just to be safe running short of time this year wondering how long others have rode without recharging.

Highly depends on the type of riding. I mostly ride smooth trails and boondocking. Not a lot of moguls and bumps so I've gone over 5000 miles (two seasons) without any problems.

That rear suspension you have on that sled may wear shocks faster or slower...no clue.

I dont have my shocks redone as often as the manufacturer recommends, but I'm always surprised at how much better it rides when I do.

I also have a 2013 PRO-R 800, only 2,000 miles last season.

You've got the WALKER - EVANS shocks on that sled, you should be fine PROVIDED that there's NO nicks/pits on that shafts that causes the seals to fail.

Inspect the shafts, if perfect, I'd say you're good to go

I ran the Walker-Evans on my old 2007 D-7 for several seasons, always sprayed WD-40 on the shafts BEFORE & AFTER a trip, still rode very nice

2013 PRO-R 800 SB - 4600 miles not going to do them this season either....maybe next year?

2008 600 SB - 13,000 miles not ever rebuilt until traded it...dealer said they looked fine so they changed oil and recharged.

Biggest thing is they lose the nitrogen charge slightly over time...unless the seal ****s out and you lose the oil or moisture gets in.

if your suspension feels like a pogo stick when you push down or rock the sled go through them, otherwise dont even worry about them and pray for snow!!
