As mentioned in another thread I have a couple of panels that need to be glued since they are separating. Does anyone have any particular material (glue, silicon, etc) that has worked better than others?

thanks

i would recommend ISO QUAD silicone....and or the MARINE SILICONE SEALANT both are 100% water proof and strong as he!!...the marine sealant once dry will only come off if you sand it....use it on glueing boat decking and boards below water line even...i use it on bath tubs too as it NEVER molds discolors or peels off....i used loctite pro-line marine fast cure adhesive sealant...ideal for through hull fastenings....lol.....be careful as once set you will need new walls cause it aint comin off

Stay away from any mechanical fasteners, there is also a marine product from 3M called 5200, its pricy but holds very well.

Im taking my legend back to dealer today for a panel separation, not a huge issue, but it will only get worse. First problem I've had in 3 seasons of trailering everywhere to ride. I shopped em all, Legend was best construction. I'll see if I can find out what they use.

Thanks again for the suggestions. I too have a legend trailer and would appreciate getting back to me with how they deal with the panels. What dealer did you use?

Thanks for letting me know.

Tritons are put together using thin 1 inch 2 sided tape that holds the panels together. It is ultra sticky and will never let go. They then glue the panels to the uprights with some ultra sticky automotive glue. They use a few screws to hold the panels to the uprights but once the glue sets up the screws really don't do much. I had to replace 2 panels on my Triton and it was an adventure getting the old panels off. The two sided tape holds unbelievable. I used some 3M two sided tape to put it back together. Tritons are expensive but they are built like a brick you know what. I am sure you could duplicate the procedure on yours.

I bought from Becks trailer sales, same company/family that builds them, they are north of Lansing MI. Looked at all brands for a few years before buying the Legend.
