Yea figured that title would make ya look. They were saying on the local news last night that this is the first year in like 20 (or something like that) that the entire month of Febuary has had snow on the ground in our area. (S.W. michigan/ N.W. Indiana). Which really kinda sucks cus only able to ride the trails about 6 of those days, and they weren't in a row. And by no means great riding at all.

Heck maybe I should make up a boondocken' map and go tear up those 8-10" snow drifts and do some tresspassin while I am at it.....

(just jokin before you get your twinkee's twisted)!!!!!!!

Started the bikes today. 40's and rain on its way. Never did get to really ride this yr. cancelled Tog. and Lava trips early on. I did get 4 great days during the John Dee ride in extended weekend. Canada record low snowfalls. Still banking on Tog. for 3rd week of March.

Just got back from Gogebic County. Still lots of snow. However, we drove over to Norway (Near Iron Mountain) to visit my daughter and just got back home. It was a shock to see so less snow in Iron Mountain then Ironwood !!! There are peoples lawns where you can see grass !!!!!!!!!!!!

Central Ohio set a new record of 32" of snow in February. Stayed around all month. Went out for one last ride today. It is melting fast though. Supposed to be in the 50's this weekend. It sure was fun while it lasted!

Rochester, MN currently has a running record of 71 days with 10+" on the ground (news said tonight there is still officially 17" left). The old record was 67 days. Unfortunately temps mid to high and sunshine for the rest of the week will melt some.

Overall a good year for the area....

same with IOWA, they have had consistent amount of snow staying on the ground.

Hopefully that trend will continue, so the snow wont melt all at once and flood us.

But maybe John would know more about all that snow melt stuff.
