Can some please fill me in on the change of registration changes. I live in Illinois and I register here and in Wisconsin. I did a out of state Wisconsin registration not to a residents. The question is do I have to a trail pass every year now?

I'm sure there are other guys who can give more info, but I got this from the AWSC last night. The short answer to your question is yes. You need to pay to register, and buy a trail pass. They are two separate things. If you don't register, you pay for a out of state trail pass. Keep in mind this starts next season (2015-16), not this upcoming season.

Starting in 2015 a trail pass will be required as well as in or out of state registration.
Out of state reg. sleds will pay $50.00 per year for a trail pass.
Out of state residents ARE allowed to register there sleds in WI and in state reg. sleds will pay $30.00 per year for a trail pass
or if you join an AWSC affiliated WI snowmobile club for $25.00, a trail pass will cost just $10.00.

No changes this season 2014-2015..... changes take place June 2015 & 2016 season. Then you will either join a club or deal with Madison for trail permits.....up to you.
