Renagade carving

Rented a Renagade over the weekend and was impressed with it's performance on and off trail. It seemed to do anythig I wanted it to with minimial effort. The one exception is carving. It took quite a bit of effort to get it to lean over, I did not have lots of time or conditions to do so, and I have heard that Renagades are hard to carve (except for the Backcountry, that is out of my price range). I am woundering if this is just a learnig curve as with anything, or is this a long term problem. I am looking to buy next season so any insight would be greaty appreciated.

I had an 08 Gade, I was able to carve with it with some work of throwing it over. Then I went to the 2010 Renegade backcountry...well now its easy as ever. Ski Stance has a lot to do with it. Most of all snow conditions and experience has more to do with it than the sled.

New Backcountry Only $200 More

For new MSRP prices, the Backcountry is only $200 more than the regular Adrenaline Renegade. This includes the 1.75" PowderMax track vs. the 1.25" Ripsaw, and a 2" narrower ski stance (40") which can be adjusted to as narrow as 38" if you really want to make it easy to lean over.

$200 more is not a lot when your already paying that much for a new sled. Just a thought

its just a learning curve. I could do donunts on my renegade once i figured it out. You just have to counter steer and think about your turn slightly sooner. counter steer and let the sled do the work.

Quick disconnect on the swaybar and it really loosens the sled up, I would run a Backcountry and you should be good to go.

I agree it is a little tough to get over, but I still love my gade. Disconnecting the sway bar does help. It just takes some practice, and gain a little weight. LOL

I have 2010x etec gade, I traded in my 07. The xp gade is definetly harder to lay over, engine is lower creating lower center of gravity. The 07 was fun, but the xp is unbelievable in every other category. The trade off is worth it.

Running a BCX and find it really hard to roll over coming off an F7, but too many other plus' to complain about it rolling hard.

Question though, do you have your swat-bar dissconnected and the skis narrowed? I have the sway bar out, but never tried the narrowed stance. Still had some trouble rolling it.

I have the sway bar still connected and the skis are narrowed. My buddy on a summit narrowed his ski stance and felt a huge difference, his sway bar is still connected.

The more snow the easier is it to carve. Take that backcountry way out into the woods and it really performs. doing donuts, climbing, jumping, and passing your buddies on logging roads.
