Anyone have any real comparisons between the Renegade 550fan and the Gade 600etec? I am curious as to performance, fuel/oil efficiency, etc. I can basically save about $3,000 by getting a 2011 550f and maybe ride it for two seasons and then get the next generation Doo chassis.

There is a huge difference in power between a 550 Fan and a 600 ETEC. A 550 Fan Renegade would have a top speed of about 65 mph while a 600 ETEC will go 100 mph easy. Depends what you want/need. Big difference in gas and oil usage also with an ETEC getting close to twice the mileage depending how it is ridden.
My kids both ride 550 Fans. They are great for those that don't want to go too fast or shouldn't go too fast.

If the money is a issue buy a used low mileage Renegade. There are several 600SDI's listed in the classified section right now.
The money you save with the used sled and by not buying new and taking a large hit in depreciation may get ya into the new one a year sooner.
The 550 is only rated at somewhere around 55hp compared to aprox 120 for a 600. You will not be happy on a 550 fan.

I have bouth 600 ETEC Renegade & 550F TNT & 550f GTX bouth are great sleds 550 will do 80+ on most days its light and fun to ride, 600 renegade is a blast pulls to 100mph just depends what type of riding you like I ride the 600 and let gust ride the 550f I like the renegade so much just picked up my 2nd thanks HPS. but like saber says 600sdi is a good sed also my look used to save a few bucks.
