Replacing a heated grip

Never had to replace one. I have a slash in the rubber of my 2001 indy. Should I purchase a factory part or aftermarket? I see the heated elements are starting to show but they work fine.

I found some RSI grips that I just swapped on a POO. I had Hot Grips on it but seem to like the RSI's , they have a " diamond shape texture " that is soft & feels sticky. also thinner than OEM stock so it lets the heat transfer thru better. I also installed the BRP cork on the bar , then the heat element, then the grip. Filled the bars with minimually expanding great stuff . The RSI's were like $14 95 for 2. Just some ideas....
