Riding gear technology

Anyone have any thoughts/experience on some of the newer gear? I'm looking at getting new riding pants/bibs and was curious about some of the new layered technology (i.e. Klim layering system). I'm used to the old style insulated bibs. Before I invest a bunch of money in new gear I wanted to find out what people thought. Trial and lake riding is what I do the most.

I am glad you say "invest" Buy Klim period. And always wear a TEK vest. Put a tek vest at top of list of investments. No cotton anything. Motor Fist is new in the gear dept. Looks like good stuff.

I seen it at the Novi show and there is alot of chatter about Motor fist on snowest. Sledheads Magazine did an interview on the owners this month. They offer a 106 yr. warranty. not sure details. Not goretex material. To me it felt like Carharts with some sort of waterproofing. not sure of material make up. They do have a advertising budget. See ads everywhere.

Thanks polarisrider1 I think i'll stick with Klim gear, its pricey but it works.

Yes it does. I am trying some RU Outside boots this yr. I highly recomend a Tek vest for all. Doesn't matter if it says klim, skidoo or other on it. It will save your life or save you from serious injury one day.

Are you guys that wear Klim doing the layered thing? I have always just worn a t-shirt, sweatshirt or fleece, and coat. I havent had many issues, but always looking for something better.
