Riding partner - Northern WI / Western UP

I’m looking for a riding partner. I’ve got a place in Tomahawk WI and ride the trails around there. When the snow isn’t the greatest around the Tomahawk area, I travel further north and ride in the Western UP and Northern WI. I mostly enjoy fast paced trail riding but can adapt my riding style with the group I’m riding with. Please let me know if you are interested. Feel free to PM me and we could exchange phone numbers.

I don't ride Tomahawk area anymore but do ride Phelps east to Iron River,MI south to 3 lakes area all of Vilas & all over WUPMI. Only ride weekdays not interested in weekend riding. I would bud up with you but not interested in large group riding.

I have a cabin about an hour west of Tomahawk that I try to get up to during the weekdays for riding. I'm always looking to travel to where the snow is...and last year I traveled as far north as the UP alone to find snow. It gets seemingly harder to find people to ride with, especially during the week. I will also ride on weekends but I find it much less fun. I have similar riding abilities.

I tend to ride alot in the central UP area if you are interested. During the week is fine but I need a litte advance to take off work. I'm coming up from Mosinee so it's right on my way and sometimes I have room for 1 more sled.

I live in Hurley and usually ride with a couple of local friends. We like fast paced trail riding and don't like to ride in groups larger than 5 machines of like riding ability. I work in the medical field and my schedule allows me days off during the week as well as some weekends. I would be happy to meet with you if you need to come up and put some miles on in the area. We ride N Wi from Boulder Junction area to Copper Harbor.

We also have a place in Tomahawk and ride up there when we can. We also ride the UP quite a bit. this winters plans are to ride and explore the un-plowed fire roads in the Ottawa in the UP...

Limitz...I'm also from Mosinee, hopefully we will get some ride-able snow down here so we don't have to trailer every weekend.

Will be in Greenland next Friday 12/14 through Monday with a group of up to 10. Hope for snow!

Anyone playing Hooky this week? I'm guessing that the trails will open by mid-week in many counties of Wisconsin? I would definitely like to do some trail exploring this week but would want to avoid crossing any lakes. I'm thinking around Chippewa and Rusk Counties.

I've been watching the forecast and I'm planning on going to Sawyer County, Bayfield area, or Bergland depending on trail conditions this Thursday the 20th for a quick ride. I have to head home on Friday afternoon. Since I'll be gone Christmas week - I want to get a quick ride in. If anybody is interested in joining me we can make plans.

Where in the central part Limitz? We're about as central as it gets. I play tour guide for friends that aren't too familiar with the area.....if you can stand an old guy on a Yamaha.......


Oh yeah, I forgot (happens with us OF's)......I'm retired so midweek is no problem.

YIPE!!! I hate to break it to you but that's not the central U.P....that's more south central Keweenaw.....I'm about 130 or more mi. east of there. When you said "central" I naturally assumed somewhere in our area. I'm about 20 mi. due south out of Munising. Anyway if you're ever going to venture this far east (or even like Marquette or something) drop me a note.


Edit: I finally checked Mapquest.....it's actually 165 miles.... OUCH!

I'm looking at chasing snow the next few days aroun Houghton / twin lakes. My sled is in Wisconsin at my cabin so I plan to pick it up on the way. I prefer not o ride solo if anyone is up for tagging along. Leaving MPLs this evening.
