Riding with Glasses?

We are taking my dad with us to the U.P this year. He has to wear his glasses. What will be the best helmet/goggle set up for him to avoid fogging. Any help would be great.

I always ride with glasses at night, but can get by without during the day. Vision is borderline needing them all day. Anyways, I bought this anti-fog stuff you spray on your glasses, and if it isn't too cold, you wont have a problem. I use them under a Ski-Doo Modular helmet in cold weather, and a Bieffe in warm weather with minimal fogging. Now if you get much below zero, you will have some problem, so my suggestion is to breath shallow and always through the mouth, into the vent mask. (yes, I'm not kidding - controlled breathing is the ticket) I think I got this spray stuff at a snowmobile dealer, but I forgot where. It's meant for helmet shields and glasses both.

I use a Ski Doo modular helmet with the mask and seldom have a problem, if you do fog, crack open the visor for a minute and clear.

I have a BRP Modular 2. I like this helmet a lot. As long as I have a good seal around the mask I'm good. If I get a little fog, I just crack it a bit.

I also have a Polaris AF-1. That's also a great helmet and I wouldn't have switched except it's a pain in the ___ to put it on and take it off when chatting at stop signs.

I have some anti fog spray that I put on my glasses also and it seems to help.

Welcome to my world, we shop the same! I do prefer my Mod 2 helmet over the Poo AF-1 I was fortunate to find one in straight black. popped off the little Brp sticker and it could be from anyone. Use the snorkel with the maxi pads. no fogging.

I also use a Ski Doo modular helmet no problems. I have got some fogging after digging a sled out of a big stuck but a small crack in the visor for a moment and good to go. My brother has a modular 2 another thumbs up.

I where glasses and have never had a fogging problem with my Modular 2 helmet. I also use Pro Vue prescription goggles with a Moto style open face helmet and have never had an issue.

BRP modular is the way to go, I don't know what I would do without it. I don't use the pads in the snorkel , I just shake the water out.

As all the others are saying I too have a Skidoo modular and I wear glasses. My glasses will fog when stopped, I just crack the shield for a bit and they clear right up when moving again. I also have a snocross with googles that are slightly deeper then standard googles, they are made for going over glasses. Don't have a problem with either set-up.

Again more votes for the BRP modular 2. Have a group of glasses wearing people (myself included) and all swear by it.

Another vote for Pro Vue prescription goggs. I purchased the set-up with the fan that you can control the speed. When sitting idle I turn it on high and shut it off once we start moving. I a BIG fan of my Pro Vue goggles! Great investment!

Some glasses fog more than others. Ask him if he has a pair that are notably better.

Basic issue = keep glasses warm as long as possible. Once they are cold they must stay cold until once again fully warmed.

You can do that with almost any helmet as long as the breathing is not hitting the glasses. Try different things before heading up on your trip. His glasses will fog just as easily walking around in the cold at home.
