Looking to buy 1 I have a 06 cf700 i ride 80% trail. Thinking i will stud it with 108 studs 54 doubles everyother lug and see if i like that. If not i can always add 54 singles in the open lugs. What do you guys think
it's supposed to be the best of the ripsaw, cobra, and predator. Wish they made this track in a 144! should be good for the 80% trail riding, don't expect M8 like behavior off trail but as long as your OK with that, I'd go for it!
Just ordered an original ripsaw from Tracks USA. The guy there said that the Rip 2 was a little more aggressive in a straight line than the Rip 1. Not as much grip side to side. He said that for trail use only a Rip 1 is still just fine. That is all I do anymore so that is why I got the Rip 1. For you riding off trail 20% of the time it sounds like the Rip 2 will be an excellent choice for you. If I were you I would put in all 162 studs from the start. Less chance for tear outs. Just my 2 cents.
