River Crossing from WI to MN

I am wondering if anyone has snowmobiled from Wisconsin (Grantsburg to St. Croix Falls area) and crossed the river to Minnesota?

Is there an actual trail to cross on or is it just pin it and pray?

If there is a trail, is there a phone number to call to see if there is enough ice to do so?

Thanks,
Nate

river crossing-Mississippi

You can go from Stockholm, WI across to Lake City, MN. if the ice is thick enough.
I have done it many times. Stockholm hooks to the Pepin Co trails- super nice area.

There's a crossing just north of St Croix Falls at the Lions Park, I think there is also a crossing farther north of there at wolf creek. Look at a polk county map, it should help you.

Yes, the river at St Croix falls is a resevior so it's basically just a lake at Lions Park. Ice should be fine for a crossing there

What trail get's you to Sunrise? Would I just come through Cushing and then to Eureka or do you have to drop down into St. Croix Falls?

Cushing then out to Wolf Creek and just north of Wolf creek is the crossing to Sunrise, do not go so. to St. Croix Falls.

There is also a water crossing East of Rush City MN that connects to the trail on the WI side that goes to Grantsberg or Wolf Creek. The trail is well marked from Rush City to the river, but on the WI side the trail crossing is poorly marked. This crossing is well used and I think it would be ok to cross now.
