RMK spindles on fusion

I bought some used 2009 spindles for my 06 Fusion and finally got around to installing them this week when I discovered the base of the spindle is thinner than the stock spindles. Apparently I bought spindles off an RMK. I looked up the parts on a dealer website, and it looks like the RMK has spacers on each side of the spindle, probably to adjust the ski stance. If I buy these spacers, will these spindles work fine on my Fusion? I can't see why not but thought I'd see if anyone knew differently. Hopefully they have the same advantage as the newer IQ spindles (they look the same otherwise).

I have IQ spindles if you wanted to trade. I turned my IQ into a rmk, and the IQ spindles are beefier than the RMK. And I don't need more beef or weight in the mtns. Let me know if interested.

Off 08 IQ 121"

Let me get back to you on that. There's a decent chance I'll be working in Milwaukee next week - looks like you are close to there. If so, maybe we can trade. If not, the shipping might get too pricey. The ones I got are like-new but I didn't know they were off an RMK until I installed them.

Sounds good. I'm not far from milw. Approx 45mins west of downtown depending on traffic of course

I have an 06 Fusion 700 w/stock spindles. Do the newer style spindles make 'THAT' much difference in trail ride performance?

They ease up the steering effort considerably. Others in my group have newer IQ's and they steer much easier. It didn't bother me much until I installed a 1.25" track this past season, and having more traction when turning added to the turning effort. I know there are more adjustments I can do but used spindles are relatively cheap.
