I haven't been on the river in 2 weeks. But 2 weeks ago it was the most froze I've ever seen it. We even parked on the river in downtown fort by the Dugout. I am sure it hasn't lost any ice. Not sure if you know, but now you get off the river on the east side of the river above the dam and get back on by the train tressel bridge below the dam behind the meat plant.

Also been a couple weeks since I've been on the crawfish, but no issues getting up to The Shamrock or whatever it's called now. I guess people have been driving up the dam if you stay on the river past the Shamrock, though I haven't been up there.

Rode the river from Just north of Jefferson to Lake Kosh last Saturday. There was only one spot just north of Fort that was a little slushy. Otherwise all good.

Can you cross the lake from the east side of Koshkonong over to the west side of the lake to get to Norm's Hideaway? From the map it looks like the trail ends at the lake on the east side. Is it marked across the lake?

Lake is not marked at all. Looked like you could get across it but we didn't, just stayed to the North side of lake and watched the little guys race on the 120's. River was really good, all slush spots have iced over. 140 miles for the day!

There are tracks going over the dam in Danville- unreal to see that....

More than sleds running the river

Had a plane thrill us. We were on the Rock river between the Lake Koshkonong and hwy 26 bridge and a plane came over the bridge and swooped down right over our heads. Pretty cool. Careful on the Lake speed wise. We hit a ice dam and got quite the surprise. Lets say the wife wasn't impressed with being airborne.

I wonder if that was legal.

FAR 91.119 Minimum safe altitudes: General.

Except when necessary for takeoff or landing, no person may operate an aircraft below the following altitudes:

(a) Anywhere. An altitude allowing, if a power unit fails, an emergency landing without undue hazard to persons or property on the surface.

(b) Over congested areas. Over any congested area of a city, town, or settlement, or over any open air assembly of persons, an altitude of 1,000 feet above the highest obstacle within a horizontal radius of 2,000 feet of the aircraft.

(c) Over other than congested areas. An altitude of 500 feet above the surface, except over open water or sparsely populated areas. In those cases, the aircraft may not be operated closer than 500 feet to any person, vessel, vehicle, or structure.
