Rock Tamers or Similar

For those of you running rock tamers or similar hitch mounted mud guards, how do they work with snow, slop, salt and mud? Thinking about getting a set to protect the trailer, but thinking it may exacerbate the slush and everything else flying behind the truck.

Thanks!

I have them and they work great for keeping stones thrown from the tires from hitting what I'm towing. They do knock down on the snow & slop but don't do much for the salt spray. I bought them specifically for protecting the side x side windshield when hauling on the open trailer. Also has sure helped in reducing the little dings and nicks on the enclosed trailer from all the dirt stones and sand on the roads in the winter.

Same for me, I didn't have them on my truck with my old enclosed and the front was really dinged up... I wouldn't pull my new or any enclosed trailer without them.

I've always used a Tow Tector on my Suburban to protect my boat, snowmobile, and utility trailers. I've been pretty happy with it. In the winter, as you'd expect, the bristles get pretty clogged and full of slush and snow, but a quick trip to a manual car wash takes care of it quickly. The difference in dirt, slush, salt etc. between my trailer and anyone else's traveling with me and not having a tow guard is pretty incredible.
