Not sure if this has been posted but looks like I may have to consider SkiDoo next purchase. We do 90% trail riding and fuel economy is getting to be key with fuel prices rising, well enough said. We have a CAN - AM Spyder, I saw this on SpyderLovers.com and now hoping they will take this technology to the Spyder very soon, maybe 2014 model??? I will be watching this one on Skidoo reviews for sure.

I'm betting they will sell a lot of those! The only complaint, and most didn't really care too much, was the low power. This will address that and should satisfy many trail riders needs with the benefit of excellent mileage for a sled. I saw a local dealer had a 2013 ACE 600 for $6,899, that's a pretty good buy.

Sweet, it's truly the Prius of snowmobiles!

Please post a review of what you think of the 900 ACE.
Curious to hear feedback from those that have a chance to ride them.

What makes it bad rental sled? ... no oil, excellent gas milage with 90 hp seems about right to me vs oil/gas sucking fans at 60hp. Which is better bang for the rental buck to you?lol

And the fact it has 3 power settings for newbies to experienced , could be a good one if the torque is there

Your rental fleet buy whatever you want more Ace showing up on rental lots in Vilas that is a fact. I have no idea what fleet pricing would be for new 900 Ace if you are in rental biz spill the money beans ,if you want, we are talking about performance & 900 ace perfect rental performance fit including cost of operation for renter. Capital out lay for rental fleet was not the question regarding OP so not sure why that is a concern but ok with me to discuss.

2014 Renegade Adrenaline

OK so I am really thinking about the 2014 Renegade Adrenaline with the 900 Ace 900. Any pro's / con's and thoughts are welcome.
I currently have 2011 Yamaha Vector LTX and really like it, but keeping my options open. Have not owned a Skidoo since 1975 TNT.
Maybe time to give them a try again :)

For trails I can't think of a good reason not to purchase 2014 Renegade Adrenaline 900 Ace. Just the 1st year blues but not that risky IMO. Not something I would buy I like the Ace tech but not the sled for me. 1200 Renegade would be a good sled for me with additional 15 or so ponies.:)

not lookin to bust yur chops, just sayin rental fleets look for the best deal going in an effort to at least break even should the season suckass...it's a real crap shoot.
Yes the 900 ace might be the perfect rental sled from a renters POV if the price per day is affordable, ...but doin the math, ...an initially low cost sled will get you a value priced adequate sled for a reasonable rate way before the neuvo fancy pantsed doo clicky clack high drama techno wizbanger sled will.

just my OP here and that's all its worth, but I think Doo keeps buildin the carbed 6 primarily to serve the rental fleet buyin biz.it is a good partnership.

I have a seadoo RXTX 260 with the same ITC technology, it has sport mode and touring mode mode. it basically just slows down your acceleration, but top speed is very close to the same, from 0-30 on the RXTX on sport mode is probably 2 seconds or so. On touring mode it probably takes 5 seconds to get going 30 MPH. the main difference is 0-30. it is all electronically controlled. If I'm racing someone i move to sport mode, but 80% of the riding is just fine in touring mode. Glad they brought the tech to snomobiles.

The one other thing I will warn it you have to basically power down to idle to switch between sport and touring mode on the seadoo, not sure if the skidoo will work the same or not.
