Running Bear Resort....perfect name!!!

As I was heading up to Greenland for the trail work on Wednesday night I came through Paulding and saw the sign for The Running Bear Resort.....another JD member I thought to myself. As I left Paulding, what do you think I saw crossing the highway?........A running bear!!!!!! All I could do is smile and say Sweet!!!!!! Great Name!!!!!

Black Bears are part of the landscape in Northwoods but moving south at an alarming rate. More food south I guess.

Mike and Lind are some of the best people you will ever meet, I highly recommend people staying at their place, I have!

Thanks switch07 "Running Bear" we thought was a good name when we bought the place so we kept it. :) and boy the bears have been running you are the 4th person in the last week that have seen them "running" across the road here in Paulding. The Bear hunting is going good here too!

I've been there & you're right - it's a great place. The only thing that could make it better is if there was a hot tub to soak in after a day on the trails (hint-hint-hint-hint-hint) :)

Running Bear? Is that so?

I always wondered why it was named "Running Bear" when their sign has a picture of a standing or walking bear. Shouldn't his feet be 90° to the ground with wind swooshing behind him?:D
