Well, we just got back on Sunday from a week out at Bear Lodge at Burgess Junction WY in the Bighorn Mountains. I have to say a great time was had by all. Even though I was out numbered 4 to 1 with doo renegades, I think I held my own pretty good with my Rush LX. The snow had set up quite hard from a past weeks warm up and when we first rode on Saturday the 19th we thought it was like riding on concrete. Low and behold that very night we received about 6 inches at the lodge and about a foot in the higher parts. That set us up for a great week of riding and even with my 121 track, I could go just about anywhere I wanted, or felt comfortable going. Now the doo's did have the advantage in the deeper drifted snow, but the Rush surprisingly hadled itself quite well in snow that was 12" or more deep. It was nice having a good firm base under the new snow. This was our fith time out to Bear and by far this was the most snow we have had out there. It snowed almost evey day at some point and we could always find fresh snow to play in. I did get stuck once trying to power out of a deep drifted hole, but what the heck if you don't get stuck you are not having fun, right? All the doo's had their turns getting stuck too, and Eds' snow bungy came in handy. The trails were groomed excellent and often and we put on about 600 miles. The way the LX handled itself with its 121" track, I can't wait to go back out with the new Switchback Adventure with the 136. I now have about 900 miles on my Rush LX and can honestly say it is the best sled I have ever owned. The more I ride it the more I like it, and I hope my wife likes it as much cause it will be hers next year when I plunk down the stamps for the 136 Adventure. Gas mileage has been 12 to 14 and oil consumption was 1 gallon in 830 miles. I'm hoping for one more ride up north this year........but we will see..........how bout some help with that John.......
