Is it worth spending the $100 to get the inflator pump?

I was thinking of it because my Switchback has practically no ski down pressure (I'm plowing through the corners bad)

I am going to play with some other stuff first (scissor stops and limiter straps) over the weekend to hopefully get it dialed in.

Do I think the air pump kit is worth $100,NO! (cheap junk)But I think its a must have item so the front sprig rates can be changed. Some days I like the front stiffer and and some days softer, and the do leak down to.

Air shocks suck I have a Y22 carbon fiber $3,000 mountain bike with fox air shocks the $25.00 air pump will work here's the problem with air shocks the temp outside changes day to day changes the softness to stiffness every day in the shocks I have to add air or lower air every day I drive!
Just like my snowmobile you can't beat the coil spring over the shock, my friend had a 2005 F6 firecat the air shocks sucks, he also had a 2004 F7 with coil spring over the gas shock. He did not like the air shocks maybe if you weigh 100lbs and don't ride hard.
One more thing you need to bring a torch with you and a hammer when you are on long trips and have problems! How else can you get the pump to the air shocks.

I was under the impression that the shocks are filled with nitrogen like any other shock, but it looks like this pump is just an air pump. the bike pump looks like the same pump as the ryde fx pump!

After talking to 3 different Poo dealers and Ryde Fx here's what I know.

Your right on with the bicycle pump, it will work. You need a schrader valve kit pol part #2203910, includes valves and resevoirs, however, these are on back order until feb. 20. I love how they brag up these shocks for there infinite adjustability and you can't even utilize til the season is practically over.

The shocks come from factory filled with nitrogen and use the needle valves, so I am just going to pop them off and have a local shop add 20 psi or so and hope that does the trick.

Person I spoke with at Ryde Fx said some people will find the air pressure they like and just have them refilled with nitrogen to that pressure.

My biggest gripe is if it's a selling point to get these shocks Poo or Ryde Fx should be selling these with the schrader valve kit installed, not make you wait til June when you have no use for 'em.
