Sabercat 700 Electric Start Broke. Pull The Motor?

I have a 700 Sabercat with a broken electric start. The gear at the end of the flex shaft broke off. I have pulled the exhaust and clutches so far and looking at pulling off the motor mount bracket on that side. Still I do not think I will be able to get to the bolts that secure the shaft to the back of the motor. Any ideas. If this fix requires pulling the motor I may just be back to a pull start. Thanks for any help.

No, you can remove a few motor mount bolts, slide the motor over, set a small block of wood under to prop it up and slowly/carefully pull it out. have a magnet ready and use a gear wrench, its actually not quite as bad as it looks. the four bolts on the crank snout end come out too.

Thanks for the reply. I see what catguy said and I was there. Pulled exhaust, pulled clutches and went through them. Looked hard at rocking the motor forward. Then just put the sled back together. Looked too tight for my mitts. I have big hands and fingers like udders. She will be a pull start to the death. Thanks again for the help.
