Saint Patty's Day Storm a Coming

Never fails. Seems like we always get a nasty storm around St Patty's day. I'm just hoping it will be mostly rain this year or at least stay west of the U.P. Damn, and I thought the wicked snow witch was dead.

... WET AND HEAVY SNOW EXPECTED WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY...

RAIN WILL MIX WITH AND CHANGE TO SNOW WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON... ESPECIALLY OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF WESTERN UPPER MICHIGAN AS A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TRACKS ACROSS THE WESTERN GREAT LAKES. DUE TO THE STRENGTH OF THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM... EAST WINDS COULD GUST OVER 40 MPH ON THE KEWEENAW PENINSULA THROUGH THE DAY ON WEDNESDAY.

OCCASIONAL SNOW IS EXPECTED WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY OVER WESTERN UPPER MICHIGAN... ESPECIALLY FOR THE HIGHER TERRAIN. SEVERAL INCHES OF WET AND HEAVY SNOW COULD OCCUR. AS IT STANDS NOW... THE MOST SNOW IS EXPECTED OVER FAR WESTERN UPPER MICHIGAN... FROM IRONWOOD TO THE PORCUPINE MOUNTAINS... BUT MOST AREAS WILL SEE AT LEAST LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS.

THIS STORM SYSTEM IS STILL DEVELOPING AND A SLIGHT CHANGE IN TRACK WILL MAKE A LARGE DIFFERENCE IN HOW MUCH SNOW OCCURS WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY. STAY TUNED FOR LATER FORECASTS AND STATEMENTS ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.</I>
